(WTNH) -- Police are searching for information on a 16-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Cristina Ortiz, 16, was last seen on May 23 leaving her home for school, but she never arrived at school or returned home. Family, friends and her church members told police it is not like her to runaway from home or to be gone for such a long time. She is 5'1", 105 lbs, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans or a skirt with a black or gray top. She also wears glasses. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Juvenile Investigative Detective Ivys Arroyo at 860-757-4236 or call the Hartford Police Department routine line at 860-757-4000. Hartford Teenager Missing For 4 Weeks HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Hartford’s mayor and police chief are making a public plea for the safe return of a teenage girl who went missing four weeks ago. Mayor Pedro Segarra, Chief James Rovella and detectives working on the case will also ask for the public’s help in finding 16-year-old Cristina Ortiz during a news conference scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at City Hall. Police have been looking for Cristina since she failed to return home from school on May 23. She is 5-feet-1-inch tall and 105 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
