Mobile police search for missing 14-year-old Brittany Shante Robinson

MOBILE, Alabama -- Mobile Police are asking for the public's help in locating 14-year-old Brittany Shante Robinson, who was last seen on June 14 at 9 a.m.

According to Robinson's mother Tiana Hogue, Robinson was picked up from Hogue's house by Robinson's aunt at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 14.

The aunt drove Robinson to Robinson's father's house. Robinson was dropped off, and has not been seen since.

Brittany is a black girl with black hair and brown eyes and is 5 feet tall.

Anyone with information about the location of Brittany Shante Robinson is asked to call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 208-7000 or text to 274637 and include the keyword CRIME 411.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile police are asking for the public's help in locating a 14-year-old missing girl.

Police said Brittany Robinson of Mobile has been missing for more than two weeks.

They said Robinson was last seen June 14. She was supposed to spend a couple of days with her father, 35-year-old Demetric Hooper.

She has black hair and brown eyes, is five feet tall and weighs 150 pounds.

Brittany's mother Tiana Hogue said her daughter is smart, nurturing, and outgoing.

"She's going to always call to contact you," said Hogue.

According to her mother, the Booker T. Washington student had been rekindling a relationship with her father.

"Off and on, because he would go for years, come back around," said Hogue.

Hogue said Brittany was excited when her father was around, and she planned to spend a couple days with him in June.

"I haven't spoken to Brittany since June 14 when she left here. She hugged my neck, kissed my face and said I'll see you later," said Hogue.

Hogue said she expected Brittany back home by Monday, June 18, but she didn't return or call.

"I didn't figure anything was wrong. Wednesday the 20 of June I was contacted by her father via text message saying he would bring her in an hour," said Hogue.

Hogue said one hour turned in to two hours, then three, and she called Hooper.

"He responded to my phone call,' (He said) don't text.' He's out of minutes. They'll be there shortly. They were at a wedding party. He didn't return my calls or text messages," said Hogue.

As of June 20, Hogue said she has not heard from him, so she said she went to Hooper's mother.

She also said she had not heard from Hooper since Wednesday, June 20 either.

They went to Hooper's house on McCovery Road Extension.

"I got the county to go in with the landlord, and there wasn't anyone in there," said Hogue.

Hogue said there was no evidence that her daughter had been there.

She called Mobile police to file a missing person's report.

Detectives have been investigating the case since then.

"We've had a number of calls. People saying they've seen her. We've investigated everyone of those calls; none of them have resulted in finding her," said Corporal Christopher Levy of the Mobile Police Department.

"What worried me was we recently found out he had a similar case in 2004 of abduction with another one of his children," said Hogue.

Hogue said she learned this while she was searching for her daughter.

Hogue said she wants people to know that this case is not a dispute about custody, the she's worried about Brittany's health. Hogue said Brittany has asthma, and she left the house without her medicine.
