The disappearance of Duson resident Keiosha “Red” Felix has been reclassified as a missing person case.

Assistant Police Chief Gerald Credeur said law enforcement now believes the 15-year-old is not a runaway, as they first suspected when she disappeared on April 30.

Keiosha is described as a black female, 5″0 and approximately 120lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

According to Chief Credeur, Felix’s cell phone has been turned off since that evening and she has not been on the social media website Facebook since, which is highly unusual.

Anyone with information about Felix is asked to call the Duson Police Department at 232-9211 or The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

Duson Police say that a suspect has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Jail in connection with the disapperance of Keiosha Felix.

Police are not releasing the person’s name or charges at this time because it could jeopardize an ongoing investigation.

Keiosha disappeared on April 30, 2012 and the case was originall treated as an endangered runaway.

However, on July 23rd, Assistant Police Chief Gerald Credeur said law enforcement now believes the 15-year-old is not a runaway, as they first suspected when she disappeared on April 30.

Keiosha is described as a black female, 5″0 and approximately 120lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

According to Chief Credeur, Felix’s cell phone has been turned off since that evening and she has not been on the social media website Facebook since, which is highly unusual.

Police are asking for the public assistance in relation to locating Felix. Keiosha Felix's Aunt and Cousin Arrested In Connection With Her Disappearance

Two members of Keiosha Felix's family are under arrest in connection with the Duson teenager's disappearance.

After hours of questioning, Portia Felix and Patricia Andrus were arrested by Duson Police. Felix is charged with obstruction of justice in the case, while Andrus is facing charges of accessory to rape and improper supervision. Felix and Andrus are Keiosha's cousin and aunt, respectively. They are also the last two people who saw the 15 year old before she went missing on April 30th.

The pair were questioned after Andrus' boyfriend, 43 year old Leon Wilkerson, was arrested for 2nd degree kidnapping and simple rape. Wilkerson was arrested in Zachary, LA on Tuesday.

Once Wilkerson is transferred to Acadiana, he'll be held on $350,000 bond. Bond has not yet been set for Andrus and Felix.

Leon Wilkerson Jr., 43, was arrested in Zachary, LA on two warrants out of Lafayette Parish on second-degree kidnapping and simple rape. Law enforcement officials tell us this is in connection with the Keiosha Felix disappearance. Wilkerson was arrested on Tuesday, July 24th in Zachary, LA and is in the East Baton Rouge Parish jail. Police say they still have not located 15-year-old Keiosha Felix. She was first reported missing April 30, 2012.

Duson Police Now Calling a Runaway Teen A Missing Person

Fifteen-year-old Keiosha Felix has been missing for three months. She was last seen at her aunt's house in Duson. Duson police say they thought she was a runaway because one side of the family said they had been in contact with her, but after talking to other members of her family, police say no one has heard from Felix.

Police are now looking into why some family members initially said they talked to her.

Assistant police chief Gerald Credeur says a person of interest, the boyfriend of a relative, has been questioned. He's not charged with a crime.

Keiosha Felix's aunt Lena Lewis believes Felix's disappearance is suspicious. She says Felix was a typical teenager, often using her cell phone and Facebook, but since she disappeared, she hasn't used either.

"No one has heard anything. She wouldn't just confine herself and hide," said Lewis. Lewis describes Felix as a happy teenager who loved her family. She now wants answers from family members who said they heard from Felix, when in fact, they hadn't.

"Why would you say someone is speaking to you when they're not? That just seems suspicious, why would you say that? Her sister is her best friend. If there's anyone she'd call it would be her because they talked every single day," added Lewis. Felix is in state custody under the Department of Children & Family Services. Family and police say she ran away once before, was gone for two days and called family to let them know she was safe.

It's a different story this time. "She'd be with other girls her age hanging out walking around, but no one has seen her. Nothing."

Felix has a one-year-old baby girl. Lewis says if Keiosha did run away, she wouldn't have left her baby behind.

"She loves her baby. There's no way that she would leave without knowing how her baby was doing and what was going on with her baby."

Duson Police tell KATC the girl ran away from home, and has indicated to her family that she is okay. Duson Police are treating this is a runaway case and not a suspicious disappearance. Police do not believe the girl's life is in danger.

And with Keiosha, Mickey and Dylon in mind, a special prayer service was held at Lafayette's Harvest Center Church.

"Please call us, get involved. Let's really wrap our arms around this city. But we can't do it by ourselves," said Reverend Daniel Kelly. "I don't want person to go missing on our watch. We need the whole community working together, whether it's white or black. We've gotta' come together and make a stand against the violence in this city."

Latest Update Keiosha Felix's Aunt "Shocked" Family Members are Accused of Being Involved in Keiosha's Disappearance

No sign of missing 15-year-old Keiosha Felix, even after three arrests. Two of those relatives, a mother and daughter, have already bonded out. Felix's cousin Portia Felix is charged with obstruction of justice. Portia's mother, who's Keiosha's aunt Patricia Andrus, is charged with improper supervision and accessory to rape. They were the last two people to see Keiosha before she disappeared. Patricia's boyfriend, 43-year-old Leon Wilkerson, is charged with second-degree kidnapping and simple rape. He's reportedly not cooperating with police. Duson police say they do believe Keiosha is alive, but is in danger. For other members of Keiosha's family, the news of the arrests were shocking.

Keiosha Felix's aunt Lena Lewis is confused and overwhelmed. She can't believe Keiosha's aunt and cousin, Patricia Andrus and Portia Felix, are accused of being involved in her niece's disappearance.

"She's a child and I don't understand. Why if they had something to do with it, how could they let that go on? Family is love, if anything you want to protect your loved one," said Lewis.

Lewis is related to Keiosha's mother. Patricia and Portia are on her father's side of the family. Lewis says that's why she doesn't really know them that well, but both families didn't have any problems with one another.

"I don't know where it went wrong, but I hope with everything we get a step closer and that we get answers and bring her home," she said.

Keiosha was in state custody because her mother is in jail. Although her own family did not have custody, she was allowed to visit them with her one-year-old daughter. That infant is also now in state custody since the recent arrests. Her aunt says Keiosha told her she didn't like staying with her aunt Patricia. Lewis never understood why.

"I put two and two together, you know, why would she be uncomfortable at her aunt's house? She never told me exactly why," said Lewis.

Family members are relieved police have made arrests and are making progress, but still no sign of Keiosha.

Lewis says Keiosha is a tough girl and believes wherever she is, she's trying to get back home. "I'm hoping and praying that she's fighting. If she's out there, I hope she's okay," said

Arrests affidavits state aunt and cousin lied about Keiosha Felix's disappearance

According to arrest affidavits for family members arrested in Keiosha Felix's case, Patricia Andrus and Portia Felix are accused of lying to investigators while being questioned about Keiosha's disappearance. Keiosha was in state custody, and disappeared from her Aunt Patricia and cousin Portia's home on April 30. She was at Andrus' house on a weekend pass. Portia is charged with obstruction of justice, and Andrus is charged with accessory to rape and improper supervision. They are the last two people who saw the 15 year old before she went missing.

The affidavit states that on July 25, Duson police questioned Portia several times, asking her why she lied and made police believe family was in contact with Keiosha. "Portia stated she don't know why she did it." According to the document, Lt. Gerald Credeur accuses Portia of lying to police during several interviews. The affidavit confirms police initially considered Keiosha a runaway and not a missing person since family claimed to be in touch with her.

Patricia Andrus' arrest affidavit alleges Andrus lied about her boyfriend, Leon Wilkerson, being accused of raping Keiosha. When Lt. Credeur asked her again, "Andrus started crying." The document alleges Keiosha told her aunt there was some innapropriate sexual contact. When asked if Wilkerson raped Keiosha, "Ms. Andrus continued to cry and would not answer." Andrus said she didn't report the alleged rape to police and the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services, because Wilkerson told her it wasn't true, "so she left it alone," according to the affidavit.

Both Portia and Andrus have bonded out of jail.
