R. Hill family uses FB to solicit help finding loved one (RICHMOND HILL, Ga.)- Tuesday morning, Lt. Dana Strickland of the Richmond Hill Police Department was working to track down information on the location of a 17-year-old girl who willingly left her home Saturday night. The department has reason to believe Morgan Brooke Griffin might be in Florida with a friend, the lieutenant told WJCL/WTGS. "She is a runaway," said Lt. Strickland. "Bring Morgan Brooke Griffin Home Safely" is a Facebook page that was created Monday, August 20; two days after the Richmond Hill teenager was last seen by her family. Part of the Facebook post: "Everyone please pass this along: My niece has been missing from her home in Richmond Hill, GA since Saturday 8/18/2012. Her name is Morgan Brooke Griffin. She is 17-years-old, 5'2'', 97 lbs., brown hair, and green eyes. If anyone has any info on her or where she may be, please call the Richmond Hill Police Dept. @ 912-756-5645." Tuesday from 3:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., the page garnered more than 100 additional supporters, bringing the total number of people who "like" the page to a little less than 1,100. Lt. Strickland asked to make the phone conversation brief because he said he was waiting on a call from a supervisor with a Florida law enforcement agency. He said that "juvenile complaints will be filed" when Griffin is located and it will be up to the court to decide if she will face punishment for running away. The Richmond Hill P.D. has not received any substantial tips from community members on Griffin's whereabouts, however he said that the Facebook page created to help find her was not a bad idea. www.thecoastalsource.com/news/local/story/R-Hill-family-uses-FB-to-solicit-help-finding-lov/ckHUdDY2GUStYIprV6NmSw.cspx
