10/8/2012 5:23:00 PM Helena M. Pinkerton, reported missing October 3, found in Gainesville A 16-year-old girl, reported missing on October 3, has been located in Gainesville. She has been turned over to her mother. August 16, 2012, Helena M. Pinkerton, 16, ran away from the Youth Interface Facility in Lake City, and had not made any contact with her family in over a month. Police provided an Intel Bulletin to the law enforcement agencies in Columbia, Alachua and Suwannee counties, along with a news release from last Wednesday. Due to the coverage provided by local news media organizations in the surrounding counties, Ms. Pinkerton was seen by other tenants in The Districts on 62nd apartment complex in Gainesville, Florida who reported her whereabouts to the leasing office. The leasing office made contact with Investigator David Greear of the Lake City Police Department to report the missing girl's location. They stated the apartment was leased to Craig J. Kaczmarek, 19, the girl's juveniles boyfriend. In earlier questioning by investigators, Mr. Kaczmarek said he “had no knowledge of the whereabouts of Ms. Pinkerton.” Investigator Greear coordinated the recovery of the girl with the Gainesville Police Department and Mrs. Faith Skeen, the girl’s mother. Ms. Pinkerton was removed from all databases as a missing juvenile. Due to his interference with the custody of a juvenile, charges are pending on Kaczmarek. www.lakecityjournal.com/main.asp?SectionID=13&SubSectionID=73&ArticleID=9260
