Central Ohio Student Missing in Kentucky Saturday May 12, 2012 3:09 PM UPDATED: Saturday May 12, 2012 MOREHEAD, Ky - Police searched on the ground and in the air Saturday for a Central Ohio man missing after a car crash in Kentucky. Morehead University Police said university student Daniel Hiser, 20, was last heard from Wednesday before his vehicle crashed into a brick building near Elliotville, Kentucky, 10TV's Danielle Elias reported. The property owner discovered the damage along with the bumper and license plate of the vehicle, which traced back to Hiser, who is from Fayette County, Ohio. Hiser went to Miami Trace High School and graduated two years ago. Hiser's mother, father and uncle all went to Kentucky to help with the search effort, Elias reported. They said the last they heard from Hiser was when he sent a text message at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Investigators and family were concerned Hiser may have been hurt in the crash. "This is just really out of character for him and we're worried that something's happened to him," Hiser's mother, Linda Hiser said. "We need to hear from him or anybody who knows anything." Hiser's vehicle is a gold, 2000 Ford Expedition with Ohio tags. It should be missing a bumper and may have damage on the passenger side. www.10tv.com/content/stories/2012/05/12/fayette-co-missing-student.html
