Toddler Missing in Covington A 1-year-old boy is missing in Covington. William Cunningham was last seen on Welsh Drive in the City Heights Public Housing Complex, at around 6 p.m. Friday. Police say the boy's aunt, who was babysitting him, left the toddler with a friend, while she went inside of one of the apartments. When she came back, Cunningham was gone. Local 12 News has a crew at the scene, as the search continues. Cincinnati Police are handling a death investigation of a toddler CINCINNATI - Cincinnati Police tell 9 News homicide investigators are handling a death investigation involving a toddler. Detectives are working to confirm the identity of the child whose body was found early Saturday morning according to Sgt. Gary Conner with Cincinnati Police. Conner said he was not ready to release the exact location of where the body was found. The death investigation follows an intense search for a missing 1-year-old Covington boy. The child, who Covington police identified as William Cunningham, was last seen playing in a park behind the City Heights Public Housing Complex on Welsh Drive around 6 p.m. Covington Police questioned neighbors and those who saw the child before his disappearance on Friday night. Lt. Col. Spike Jones of Covington Police referred all questions regarding Cunningham to Cincinnati Police. Cincinnati homicide investigators are currently working with the Hamilton County Coroner's Office including a forensic pathologist according to Sgt. Conner. 5/26/2012: William Cunningham Case Update: LOCATED DECEASED: Woman Charged in Death of 1-year-old Boy Police make an arrest in the case of a missing child found dead in Cincinnati. Marquita Burch is charged with Abuse of a Corpse and Tampering with Evidence. Police say Burch admitted to investigators Saturday that William Cunningham died on Sheehan Avenue in Cincinnati. Police say Burch then moved the 1-year-old boy's body to an apartment on Winton Road in Winton Place. Burch told investigators Friday that the boy went missing from the City Heights Housing Complex in Covington. The boy's body is now at the Hamilton County Deputy Coroner's office. The coroner says it appears the 1-year-old had been dead for at least 48 hours.
