Missing Mitchell teen could be in Rapid City, police say A 17-year-old suspected runaway from Mitchell may be in Rapid City, the girl's grandmother said Tuesday. Shandell "Mexican" Bollock ran away May 23 after an argument with her adopted mother, according to her grandmother, Mary Bollock. Shandell had previously lived in Rapid City, she said. “She has no phone, no car, no money," Mary Bollock said. Mitchell Police Department Detective Lt. Don Everson said his agency is not treating the case as a missing person, which assumes foul play is possible, but rather as a runaway. He said she has relatives in Rapid City and possibly ran to this area as he said she had threatened to do in the past. “We still try to find them, because runaways can get themselves in bad situations as well," Everson said, adding that Rapid City Police has been made aware of the situation. If you have any information on her whereabouts contact the Mitchell Police Department 1 (605) 995-8400. Please Share her Flyer with your friends. A online flyer is a excellent way to get the word out about a Missing Person. With todays technology it can be viewed literally anywhere, computers, Ipads, Cell phones, forwarded, downloaded and printed, etc. You can also tag your friends to the flyer which is another good way to spread the word quickly about a missing person. m.rapidcityjournal.com/mobile-touch-2/?disableTNStatsTracker=1&asset=8ac64984-1afd-5814-81c1-79d5b3788e40#index

A 17-year-old girl who ran away from her home in Mitchell two months ago has been found. Shandell Mexican-Bollock was located in Rapid City, according to Mitchell Department of Public Safety Detective Lt. Don Everson. He had no details on where she has been. “We just know she has been detained by the Rapid City Police,” Everson said. There are no charges against her in Mitchell, he said. Mexican-Bollock left her home in Mitchell on May 23 after a disagreement with her adoptive mother, who sounded the alarm a day after Mexican-Bollock left home. She said she believed the girl had gone to Rapid City, where she had family. Mitchell Police said then the department was aware of the report of the girl’s disappearance but classified her as a runaway and not as someone in danger. Rapid City Police and juvenile authorities cited confidentiality laws involving minors and declined to comment on the girl’s whereabouts and legal status. www.mitchellrepublic.com/event/article/id/67820/publisher_ID/4/
