Police asking for public's help in finding missing teen

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Missing Persons Unit are asking for assistance from the public with a missing person investigation.

On May 24, Jacqueline Alfaro, 13, was reported missing by her mother.

Alfaro is believed to be in the company of an unidentified man that is approximately 30 years old.

Please review the attached photographs of both the man and Alfaro.

Detectives are asking anyone that can identify the male subject or who has seen Alfaro to please call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

Police: 13-year-old missing for 2 weeks

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing two weeks ago.

Police said Jacqueline Alfaro was last seen May 24 on Castlerock Drive in the Foxford Place neighborhood off Shamrock Drive in east Charlotte. Her mother reported her missing that day.

Jacqueline may in the company of a Hispanic man in his 30s, police said.

On Friday, police asked for the public’s help to find her. They also released a photo of the man, hoping that someone might help investigators identify him.

Jacqueline is a Hispanic female who is 5-foot-6 and 150 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone who can identify the man or who has seen Jacqueline is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

Missing Charlotte teen found in Missouri

CHARLOTTE -- A Charlotte teenager reported missing last month has been found in Missouri and the man with her is charged with kidnapping her. Jacqueline Alfaro, 13, was reported missing by her mother on May 24.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, working with the FBI and authorities in Missouri, say they located her with 31-year-old Gonzalo Barrera in St. Louis. He's charged first-degree kidnapping.
