Grandmother seeks help finding 14-year-old missing since Wednesday

A 14-year-old girl has been missing since Wednesday and was last seen at her father's home in southeast Colorado Springs.

According to Cathy Brinkley, her granddaughter Cyerra Pursley went to a park near her father's home on Chapman Drive about noon Wednesday and hasn't been heard from since.

"It was something that she wasn't supposed to do," Brinkley said. "But she did write her dad a note."

When Cyerra's father Shawn Pursley came home Wednesday, he saw the note, went to the park and couldn't find his daughter, Brinkley said.

"He's been doing nothing but driving around since Wednesday, looking for her," Pursley said.

According to her grandmother, Cyerra was spending the summer with her father before she became missing. Brinkley said Cyerra usually takes medication but has been going without it. She said Cyerra is also known by the nickname Cy-Cy.

Colorado Springs police said Cyerra was reported to be a runaway Wednesday night.

Missing 14 year old girl.

Cyerra Renee Pursley has been missing since Wednesday, June 20th. She was last seen by neighbours walking around her fathers apartment complex @ 924 Chapman Dr, Colorado Springs, Co around 12 noon.

No one has seen or heard from her since then. She takes medication and is in desperate need of it. She goes by the nickname Cy or CyCy.

She has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighs about 180lbs and and is 5'4.

Because there is no evidence of foul play the police in Colorado Springs consider her a run away and are doing nothing to look for her. She is a child, and her family just wants her home, something just doesn't fit right with the story. Please help us spread the word. We want her safe!
