Amber Alert issued for boy from Arkansas City

An Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Anthony Hernandez, who has been missing since Saturday.

According to the Kansas Amber Alert website, Anthony is 2 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 38 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen in Arkansas City.

He was last seen wearing a yellow tank top, black shorts with yellow stripes, and yellow SpongeBob SquarePants Crocs.

Authorities are seeking Francisco Lopez, 33. He is 5 feet 5, 200 pounds, with brown eyes. He is bald. He was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark blue shorts. Lopez owns a 2003 white Chevrolet Cavalier with an Oklahoma license plate of 336 HPW, according to the website. A reflector between the back brake lights is broken.

The car has been found near Arkansas City, according to a post at 10:18 a.m. Sunday on the website. The two are still missing and may be on foot.

Amber Alert issued for Kansas boy

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. - An Amber Alert has been issued for 4-year old Anthony Hernandez, who was allegedly abducted from his home in Arkansas City, Kan., Saturday night by his non-custodial father, Francisco Lopez.

Arkansas City Police spokeswoman Alisha Call said Sunday that Lopez was visiting at the home of the boy's mother Saturday evening when the parents had an altercation, and the father stormed off with the child in tow.

Anthony was last seen in the 600 block of South Sixth Street wearing a yellow tank top, black shorts with yellow stripes and yellow Crocs-brand shoes with the cartoon character Spongebob Squarepants on them.

Lopez is a 33-year-old white male driving a white Chevrolet Cavalier with Oklahoma license tag 336-HPW. Lopez is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weights 200 pounds and has brown eyes and a bald head. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark blue shorts.

Missing Kansas boy is found

A missing 3-year-old Kansas boy was found Sunday evening near Arkansas City, Kan.

Anthony Hernandez had been missing since Saturday. Police thought he was with a 33-year-old man.

The man is in custody, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation
