Amber Alert for One Year Old Story

FORT WAYNE, IN ( Indiana's NewsCenter) Police in Hammond, IN have issued an Amber Alert in the case of an abucted one year old child. Jamari Deshawn Strong is a black male with brown eyes and brown hair in braids. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and sandals. Jamari was last seen at 2:45 pm Thursday at 4218 Calumet Avenue in Hammond and is believed to be in extreme danger.

Hammond police believe Jamari was abducted by a black couple believed to be in their mid-40's by the names of Renee and Darrell. They reportedly fled the scene with Jamari Strong in a Maroon 2002 Pontiac Grand Am with Illinois license number P708343. The vehicle was last seen driving south from Calumet Avenue and may be headed to Chicago , Illinois.

Update: Missing one-year-old found; Amber Alert Canceled

HAMMOND, Ind. (WANE) Police have canceled an Amber Alert that had been issued Thursday night for a one-year-old boy who was believed to have been abducted from a home in Hammond.

Jamari Deshawn Strong had last been seen around 2:45 p.m.

He was found within hours of the Amber Alert being issued, but no information is being released about where he was, who he was with, or how he is doing.
