July 25, 2012 Kidnapped woman found, police say A 20-year-old woman who was abducted at gunpoint after leaving a Dallas nightclub has been found, police say. She is now recovering at Parkland Hospital. Police say the woman, who is not being identified because she may be the victim of sexual assault, managed to escape from her captors in Grand Prairie. She called 911, and Grand Prairie police responded quickly. They took three suspects into custody -- two men and one woman. "We also located [the victim] who was in good health, but was in a very emotional state of mind considering the night's events that led her to Grand Prairie," the department said in a news release. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to [her]. What a courageous young lady." The victim and another friend were leaving Club Rio on S. Walton Walker about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday when someone with a gun forced them into the victim's SUV. The kidnapper then drove them around the city, demanding money, then forced the woman's friend out of the SUV on South Pacific street in East Dallas. Then the kidnapper drove off with the victim in the SUV. Also Wednesday morning, Dallas police found the victim's vehicle abandoned in the woods near Mountain View College. wap.myfoxdfw.com/w/main/story/68374639/

Police say victim in Dallas kidnapping escaped after being raped, sold to pimp Police believe the 20-year-old Arlington woman kidnapped Tuesday in Dallas was raped and sold to a pimp during her daylong ordeal. The woman, who is not being identified because she is the victim of a sexual assault, was recovering in a local hospital this morning, a day after she was abducted with a friend near a west Oak Cliff nightclub. The kidnapper dropped the friend off but drove away with the other woman, raping her and leaving her in the hands of a second man in Grand Prairie. Authorities say she escaped sometime overnight and led police back to the suspected pimp, whose name was not released. An hour after that, police were directed to an apartment in the 5500 block of Plum Grove Lane, where they arrested the kidnapping suspect. It was unclear whether a third person was also arrested, as was reported by some news media. crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2012/07/victim-in-dallas-kidnapping-found-safe-in-grand-prairie.html/

Dallas kidnapping victim escapes to safety Posted on July 25, 2012 at 7:12 AM Updated today at 12:33 PM GRAND PRAIRIE -- A Dallas woman kidnapped at gunpoint early Tuesday morning has been found alive after she was able to flee from the vehicle while stopped at a Grand Prairie gas station, the victim's mother told News 8. The 20-year-old was taken to a hospital and three people are in custody, Grand Prairie police said. The three people in custody include the original suspected kidnapper and a woman and man. The kidnapping happened early Tuesday morning as she and a friend left Club Rio in Dallas. The women were taken at gunpoint and the kidnapper demanded cash, police said. The woman's friend was let go in downtown Dallas after the pair could not give the kidnapper cash or an ATM card, but the other 20-year-old woman was forced to remain in the car. The victim's mother said she was sitting on her porch praying at about 2 a.m. Wednesday when a police officer approached her. She said she feared the worse but was instead met with the good news that her daughter had been found. She rushed to the hospital where her daughter relayed the story of what happened to her and how she escaped. Authorities said the young victim was able to escape while at a gas station in the 1700 block of West Main Street in Grand Prairie. The woman jumped out of the vehicle and ran to the neighboring Golden Chalet Motor Inn, where she called 911. The victim was able to give police a description of those involved in the kidnapping and the suspects were apprehended. "There was no resistance," said a Grand Prairie Police Department spokesman. Two people were taken into custody, and the man accused of initially kidnapping the young woman was arrested a few hours later. While the victim is said to be shaken and frightened, her mother said she will be okay. The victim's name has been removed for privacy. www.wfaa.com/news/crime/3-arrested-in-Dallas-kidnapping-case-163676176.html
