Missing Albany teen found; parents offer thanks to investigators ALBANY---The case of a 16-year-old Albany teen who has been missing from home for nearly a month ended late Sunday night with the rescue of Jessi Stafford. According to a statement released by Stafford's parents Monday, the 16-year-old was found, along with another runaway, late Sunday. Stafford is reportedly in good condition and has been reunited with her parents. Reliable sources tell AN17.com that the runaways were found in the Lee's Landing area east of Ponchatoula. Tangipahoa and Livingston Parish Sheriff's Deputies were instrumental in the search, but Jesse and Chasidy Stafford, the girl's parents, also praised a private investigator who was assigned to the case. "Our daughter has been found and is okay! From the bottom of our hearts, we'd like to thank Chris Gideon, owner of Chris Gideon Investigations, who found our daughter last night along with another runaway. He has diligently investigated this case and would not stop until she was found. Also, we'd like to thank the Tangipahoa and Livingston Parish Sheriff's Offices for working on this case until it was solved. They were persistent and did a wonderful job. Words can not express the gratitude we feel in our hearts. Finally, we'd like to thank friends, family, Facebook and the public helping and being with us during this difficult time. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" the Staffords wrote in a statement posted on the AN17.com Facebook page. An official report on the case is pending from law enforcement. www.actionnews17.com/News/AllNews/tabid/83/ArticleID/2143/ArtMID/435/Missing-Albany-teen-found-parents-offer-thanks-to-investigators.aspx
