Amber Alert issued for Tampa infant Published: July 21, 2012 Updated: July 21, 2012 - 6:09 PM TAMPA -- Hillsborough County deputies have issued an Amber Alert for a seven-week-old Tampa boy they say was snatched by his father this afternoon. Jaelin Levison's father Reginald Levison threatened to harm the boy and any law enforcement who tried to catch him, deputies said. The child's mother called deputies shortly before 1 p.m., saying Levison had grabbed her neck and tried choking her, hit her several times and wouldn't let her leave her apartment at 12402 Spicer Place in Tampa. She said Levison took her cell phone and then left in her vehicle with Jaelin. "He stated that he would not go back to prison," a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office release states. Levison has prior convictions on drug charges as well as aggravated battery on law enforcement and resisting an officer with violence. He was in state prison from June 2004 until November 2008. Jaelin was last seen wearing a blue, green and brown striped one-piece outfit. Reginald Levison, 27, 5-foot-7, weighs 200 pounds and has a medium to large build, deputies said. He has shoulder-length dreadlocks and a "chin-strap style beard." His drove off in a red 2007 Chrysler Sebring with Florida tag AENC63. Those with information should call deputies at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-8477. www2.tbo.com/news/breaking-news/2012/jul/21/1/amber-alert-issued-for-tampa-infant-ar-438121/
