ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The family of a missing young mother have taken matters into their own hands. Posting pictures of the men they think kidnapped and possibly killed the 19-year-old.
“Everybody called her Tig,” Jessie Rivera said about his daughter Cindy.
Nearly everyone is Las Vegas, New Mexico, is wondering where the former high school track star is.
Cindy Rivera had just pajamas and slippers on when she left her fathers house early in the morning on June 30th.
“She went dad I’ll be back in a minute and she never came back,” Jessie Rivera said.
When her sisters looked for her, they knew right away something wasn't right. They say her slippers were in the road and there were signs of a struggle.
The family believes they know who is behind Cindy’s disappearance. They posted the mens’ pictures all over town hoping that someone will give them answers, but state police says those men have hired lawyers and are not talking.
One of the men is the father of rivers oldest son.
“The agents have served search warrants on her boyfriend’s house,” Lt. Robert McDonald with State Police said.
The family says he's been bragging that he killed the mother of two and buried her out in the middle of no where.
“We’ve done aerial searches,” said McDonald.
Rivera’s family says not knowing what happened is the hardest part
“Please have sympathy on me and let me know where my daughter is,” Cindy’s father pleaded. “If she's alive please give her back. We will give you the reward. And if she's dead let me know where so is so I can at least give my daughter a proper burial.”
There is a $5,000 reward for information that leads police to Cindy Rivera. If you have any information please call State Police Detective Mark Alsfeld at 505-425-6771.
