Eugene teen missing in Portland 'highly unusual'Posted on June 14, 2013 at 6:09 PM PORTLAND – An 18-year-old Eugene woman was reported missing in Portland early Friday. McKenzie Bloesinger-Wong had just graduated high school and was in Portland with her boyfriend whom she was separated from during her visit, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police. Bloesinger-Wong was last seen near Northwest 5th Avenue and Northwest Flanders Street around 4 p.m. Thursday, Simpson said. Her boyfriend searched downtown for her vehicle and flagged down a police officer at 1:21 a.m. after he couldn’t find her. Bloesinger-Wong has not been in contact with her family or friends and police are describing the circumstances “highly unusual.” Police, however, do not have any evidence of foul play. Bloesinger-Wong is described as a white woman, 18 years old, 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. She has shoulder-length, jet-black wavy hair and hazel eyes. She has piercings in her nose, upper lip and tongue. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie over a gray Johnny Cash T-shirt. She is missing with her 2001 burgundy Ford Explorer with Oregon plates 648 EKE. She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie jacket over a grey T-shirt with a picture of a Johnny Cash album on the front, blue jeans and brown sandals. She had an olive green shoulder bag with her. Bloesinger-Wong is missing with her 2001 Ford Explorer SUV, burgundy in color, with Oregon license plates 648 EKE. According to police, Bloesinger-Wong, a recent high school graduate, was reported missing to police early Friday after she became separated from her boyfriend while visiting Portland. Bloesinger-Wong was reported to have been last seen in the area of Northwest 5th Avenue and Flanders Street at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Her boyfriend flagged down a Central Precinct sergeant, at 1:21 a.m. Friday, after searching the downtown area for her or her vehicle, without success. Officers entered McKenzie into the state Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) as a missing person. Missing Persons Unit detectives were brought into the investigation, as Bloesinger-Wong has not been in contact with any family or friends, which was described to police as being highly unusual. While there has been no evidence of foul play at this point, her disappearance is being treated as suspicious, given the current circumstances. Anyone who has seen Bloesinger-Wong, or who knows her whereabouts, is asked to immediately call 9-1-1.
