LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Police Department Friday asked the public to be on the lookout for a missing man. The father of Dylan Cooper says it is out-of-character for his son to disappear, KNX 1070′s Ed Mertz. Dale Cooper said family members have continually called his son’s cell phone which was initially going to voice-mail. Now, Dale says, the phone is turned off. The 26-year-old Cooper was last seen Tuesday by his roommate at a Denny’s restaurant in East Hollywood around 2 a.m. The family also says they have checked with the morgue and there are no “John Does” who match his description. Cooper is a white male with a shaved head and brown eyes. He is 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black baseball cap, according to the LAPD. He has an image of a girl tattooed on his left shoulder and arm and a large cross tattooed on his inner right arm. Anyone with information about Cooper’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Saiza with the LAPD Missing Persons unit at (213) 996-1800 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7 during non-business hours.losangeles.cbslocal.com/2013/07/05/officials-need-publics-help-to-locate-missing-man-26/

LAPD asks for public's help to find missing man
LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police detectives asked for the public's help today in finding a 26-year-old man last seen at a Denny's in east Hollywood on Tuesday. Dylan Cooper was last seen by his roommate in the 300 block of North Vermont Avenue, according to the LAPD and Dale Cooper, his father. "It's out of character for him to disappear like this," Dale Cooper told City News Service. "On Monday night he went out drinking with some people from where he works and then he returned home," Cooper said. "Apparently he decided to go out then and get something to eat, and his roommate saw him at the Denny's. His roommate then went home and went to bed. "Dylan then went home again and took out his wallet and keys and left them in the apartment," Cooper added. "So it looks to us like he was going to stay in the rest of the night, but for some reason he left again and hasn't been seen since that night." Cooper said his son made a phone call to his roommate after that, but the roommate was asleep and didn't answer the phone. "We called his cell phone but it kept going to voicemail, and now the phone is off," Cooper said. "We checked the morgue and there are no John Does that fit his description. We are just worried he's out there hurt somewhere." Cooper is white, with a shaved head and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet 9 inches and 230 pounds, last seen in a black shirt, black pants and black baseball cap. Cooper has a tattoo of a girl on his left shoulder and arm and a cross tattooed on his inner right arm. Anyone with more information as to his whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD's Missing Persons unit at 213-996-1800 or the LAPD tipline at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
