ELLENWOOD, Ga. — As law enforcement agencies all around Georgia search for 14-year-old kidnapping victim Ayvani Perez, one of her best friends is praying for her safe return.
"I want to tell her that I love her," said Perez's friend and classmte Ariana Soeun. "I hope that she comes home because she knows everybody misses her."

A Levi’s Call alert has been posted for Perez, who authorities said was abducted from her family’s Ellenwood home Tuesday about 2 a.m. Police released sketches of the two armed men they believe took her during the home invasion on Brookgate Drive. Police said the mother tried to hide her two children, but the suspects found the family, along with the family’s dog, and demanded money and jewelry.

The FBI told our news partners at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the suspects are demanding a $10,000 ransom for Perez's safe return.
A friend of Perez told Channel 2's Richard Elliot she's praying for the teen's safe return.

Channel 2 Action News has a team of reporters speaking with law enforcement about every possible lead in this case.
Despite the fact that she lives in Clayton County, Henry County School officials confirmed Perez is enrolled at Stockbridge High School. Officials also confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that police detectives visited the school Tuesday morning hoping to find some information that might help them locate Perez.

Ayvani Perez Found: Kidnapped Ga. teen safe; 2 suspects in custody, police say

(CBS) ELLENWOOD, Ga. - Ayvani Perez, a 14-year-old Georgia girl who was abducted from her home early Tuesday, has been found safe and two suspects are in custody, Clayton County police say.

Chief Gregory Porter with the Clayton County police says Ayvani was found "at a location in Conyers, Georgia."

Porter said the teen is "in good health" and is being evaluated at a hospital. She has been reunited with her family.

"This is a good day. This is a good day for the Perez family, but more important for Ayvani," Porter said in a news conference Wednesday.

The FBI identified the suspects in custody as Juan Alberto Rodriguez, a 40-year-old Mexican national, and Wildrego Jackson, 29, of Atlanta. The FBI says Rodriguez is being held on immigration-related charges and Jackson is being held on conspiracy to kidnap.

According to state Department of Corrections records, Jackson was released from state prison in 2007 after serving time for several drug-related convictions, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. The paper also reports Jackson was released from the Fulton County Jail on July 19 after being arrested on numerous charges including aggravated stalking and theft-by-receiving.

Authorities say they are looking at several other suspects in the kidnapping. They would not elaborate, except to say that two suspects pictured in police sketches released to the public have not been found.

Authorities also said during the news conference Wednesday that officials have not determined the relationship between Ayvani's family and the suspects. They said the motive has not been determined. .....

Ayvani Hope Perez Kidnapping: Teen's Mom Was Arrested With Suspect In 2012 Drug Bust

Authorities in Georgia have revealed a new link between a kidnapped teen's mother and one suspect in her daughter's abduction.

Police records show that Maria Corral and suspect Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez were arrested in a 2012 marijuana trafficking bust in which authorities seized 500 pounds of pot, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

On Wednesday, Corral's daughter, 14-year-old Ayvani Hope Perez, was found alive one day after being taken at gunpoint from her suburban Atlanta home during a robbery. Police have since arrested Contreras-Rodriguez, 40, and another man, Wildrego Jackson, 29.

Corral was never indicted on charges related to the drug incident. The charges against Contreras-Ramirez were dropped after aspects of the search were deemed unconstitutional. Corral may have just been in the "wrong place at the wrong time," Michael Katz, the lawyer who represented her, told the Journal-Constitution.

Officials said that Perez was in good health following a medical evaluation Wednesday afternoon, according to NBC News.

Two additional suspects in the investigation remain at large, police say. More arrests are expected.
