Pueblo police: Foul play likely in Kelsie Schelling disappearance Posted: 09.12.2013
PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo police now say that foul play may be likely in the disappearance of Kelsie Schelling. This, after, there has been no activity on her financial accounts, cell phone or social media accounts. "The Pueblo Police Department believes that these facts make it a probability that Kelsie has met with foul play due to her disappearance," the department said in a statement on Thursday. About seven months ago, Kelsie came to Pueblo from Denver. She has not been heard from since. Any information about Kelsie’s whereabouts can be reported to Pueblo police at (719) 553-2502 or Pueblo Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-STOP.www.fox21news.com/news/story.aspx?id=945999#.UqTOq7Om8b8

Kelsie Jean Schelling: Seven months since pregnant woman due next week vanished Thu., Sep. 5 2013Update: For months, we've been keeping you informed about the continuing search for Kelsie Jean Schelling, a Denver woman who's been missing since February; see our previous coverage below. Yesterday marked seven months since Schelling vanished, and for her family, friends and loved ones, who have displayed remarkable strength in the face of this nightmare, time is of the essence. She was pregnant when she disappeared, and her due date is next week. According to Laura Saxton, Schelling's mother, her daughter got confirmation of her pregnancy on February 4. As we've reported, doctor's records confirm that she was eight weeks pregnant, with the presumed father being her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, who played basketball for Northeastern Junior College. The current profile banner on the Help Find Kelsie Facebook page. "Cell phone records show that Kelsie sent picture messages of her ultrasound pictures taken that day to family members and also to Donthe and his mother," Saxton said at an April press conference; her complete remarks are below. "Cell phone records also show that Donthe asked Kelsie to come to Pueblo when she got off of work that night because he needed to speak with her in person. "We know that Kelsie made it to Pueblo and did meet up with Donthe," Saxton continued. "No one has seen or heard from her since." Despite the passage of so much time, the people who love Schelling are still actively looking for her, most recently during a search party staged this past weekend in an area near a Pueblo Walmart where surveillance footage showed an unidentified male with her car. The most recent post on the Help Find Kelsie Facebook page, where news about such efforts is coordinated, features this image.... ...and the following text, posted on September 3: Tomorrow marks 7 months that Kelsie has been missing. Her due date is rapidly approaching on September 13. This is a heartbreaking time for our family and Kelsie's friends. Please continue to spread the word about Kelsie and her baby and also about the boyfriend who has repeatedly lied and refuses to help find Kelsie or his child. Tomorrow, September 4th Kelsie will have been missing for 7 months. Kelsie is now full term in her pregnancy and we need to do anything we can to bring her and her baby home safely. Please join me in changing this to your profile picture tomorrow and help us raise as much awareness of her disappearance as possible!! #helpfindkelsie The website HelpFindKelsie.com notes that "the family is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to the person or persons who provide(s) information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for her disappearance."

Where is Kelsie Schelling's body? Nov 17, 2013 The search for Kelsie Schelling continues, but she has been missing for nearly a year without answers -- something that usually indicates a death when it comes to missing people. Kelsie was pregnant when she vanished, but a source close to the missing woman claimed that her boyfriend at the time didn't want her to keep it. She was last seen in the area of her boyfriend's home, but that's not the only part of this case that ties the disappearance to Donthe Lucas. Not long after Kelsie vanished, Donthe was arrested on charges of theft. The theft was basically him using Kelsie's debit card. The act of him using her card -- even possessing it -- indicates that he may have been the last person to see her alive. If there were troubles between the two of them, and if it was true that he didn't want her to keep the baby, then it's likely that he is directly behind her disappearance. It doesn't help that Kelsie Schelling's family says that his story, and the stories of his family members, have changed repeatedly. True stories seldom change, so they are absolutely right for their feelings of suspicion. Still, it seems a little like false hope at this point to believe that Kelsie and her presumably living child will be brought home safely. In fact, it is much more likely that Kelsie was murdered along with her unborn child -- and the discovery of her remains is just a matter of time. www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/15970286-where-is-kelsie-schellings-body
