Update: The Search for Missing Wilson Teen Continues

Wilson, ok-- Police continue to search for a missing teenage girl from Wilson and after three weeks of no sign of the missing girl, police now believe she may be in danger.

17-year-old Molly Miller has been missing for almost three weeks now. Saturday they plan to organize a search for her.

"Saturday we're meeting at Black Gold Casino and leaving out of there around 9 a.m. and we're going to head down to Oswalt road," said Miller's Brother, Garrett Lambert.

Captain Richard Parsley with the Wilson Police Department said police originally said they thought the girl ran away from home and that she wasn't in danger.

Since she hasn't contacted her family during that time, they're now concerned for her safety.

"We do feel that she is in danger at this point in time," said Cpt. Parsley.

Parsley said they tried several times to have an amber alert issued by the Oklahoma Department of Safety, and both times they were denied.

We asked both agencies why Miller did not meet the criteria and both declined to comment.

Under the criteria for issuing an amber alert, the person must be 17 years old or younger, or have a mental or physical disability, and is believed to have been abducted.

There also needs to be information that could be spread to the general public that could help bring the missing child home.

Police said they've contacted other local agencies to help them in the search for Miller.

"We're going to use every resource we can just to find Molly Miller and we've already been meeting with department heads and all the surrounding counties," said Cpt. Parsley.

Parsley said they'll also be assisting the family in the search for Miller on Saturday.

Miller's family said they're encouraging everyone who wants to help to come out for the search.

"Food and water will be provided, we've got churches helping us, we've had just a ton of people just wanting to help and to just whatever they can," said Lambert. "We're not going to stop until we find her."

Officials with DPS said Miller is posted on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's website.
